Renting a van in the dolomites

Exploring the Dolomites by van lets you sleep in stunning spots and hit the trails before anyone else. This itinerary is the perfect choice for adventurers who want freedom and unforgettable mornings in the mountains.

The total cost of the van – including full insurance – was 600 euros. It may seem expensive, but we did quite some research and it was the same of a bit less than renting a car + a hotel. Overall, we had a great experience and 100% recommend it.

This is a 4-days-van roadtrip. If you wouldn’t want to sleep in a van, we recommend you our 5 days in the Dolomites guide.

  • Day 1 – Van pickup + drive to Passo Giau
  • Day 2 – Passo Giau + Cadini di Misurina
  • Day 3 – Tre cime di Lavaredo + Cortina
  • Day 4 – Rifugio Lado d’Ajal + Van drop-off

  • Night 3 – Cortina
